I recently found some of my old blog posts from my old My Space account. Very odd. I completely forgot that I had done that.
I have decided to post some of the posts so I have them in one place.
Enjoy, or not.

Cloning
Current mood: excited
Can I clone myself? It always seems like I have like other events come up that I would like to do in addition to what I may have already planned. If I was cloned would I be cloned with a sheep? If I am cloned with sheep would it be me or the cloned Rebecca sheep that gets to go out to see Soulwax tonight? I would like to see Soulwax but then the cloned Rebeccca sheep would either go tequila tasting or to see Butch Walker. If the cloned Rebecca sheep goes tequila tasting then that brings up the issue that the cloned Rebecca sheep might get drunk and then some Hollywood farmer would take advantage of her.
Oh, the trouble of it all!

Nifty
Current mood: calm
I went to the Banksy exhibit last night.
http://www.banksy.co.uk/
It was a great exhibit and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wasn't familiar with his work before this but now I'm a total fan. I always appreciate when someone introduces me to something new and interesting.
After we went to Crown City Brewery. I hadn't been there in ages but the beer was enjoyable.
I'll be off in awhile for an evening at The Magic Castle. Should be fun!

Sleep is for sissies
Current mood: awake
I'm on my second day of burning the candle at both ends. Sunday night I went with my friend Toby to see Massive Attack at the Hollywood Bowl. It was an amazing show although we got there a bit late. We went to 2 after parties and partied with the band and then partied with the band back at their hotel. Great night. Fun group.
I got home at 6 a.m. which is the time that I get up to get ready for work so I just stayed up. Monday was a tough day. I don't know how I made it through the day. I came home, took a quick snooze and then got up to go see DJ Shadow at The Avalon. Another great show.

ipod
Current mood: sore
First let me thank all of you who pitched in for my ipod for my birthday. You know who you are. I love it! Thanks!
Well, last night I decided to go on a long walk with my new ipod. I chose to do what I thought was the old hike that I used to do years back which is basically starting out near work, walking up a big hill up to Mullholland and coming back down and around where it puts me somewhere near William Shatner's home. I started out on my walk and it was great. I had my huge headphones on and I had the music going. I love the big headphones because that tells others "I HAVE HEADPHONES ON! DO NOT SPEAK TO ME!! I AM WALKING!!" and they usually leave you alone. Anyway, I walked up to the top of Wrightwood and then started to cut down the Dona streets which cross Lauren Canyon. When I finally got down to Laurel Canyon I was a bit tired. I then found out that Lauren Canyon is NOT a great street to walk down if you're trying to excercise. There is a good portion of Laurel Canyon that does not have sidewalks or is too overgrown to be able to walk. Again, DO NOT GO THIS WAY!!! I spent a good portion of the walk, standing in a safe place, waiting for traffic to pass and then running, stooped over, to avoid the sharp shrubbery and finding another safe place to stop or walk. That part was not fun and people speed on Laurel Canyon. I couldn't go back because I had wanted to stop off at Trader Joe's and pick up some groceries and I was finally able to do that but only after an exhausting and somewhat scary experience. I think it's time to get out the Thomas Guide and figure another route.

Get me outta here!!!
Current mood: melancholy
I'm going to go off the deep end if I don't go on a trip soon!!! I'm just thinking about the amazing time that I had in New Zealand last November. It seems ages ago. I miss all of those great Brits and Aussies that I had an absolute blast with last year. We laughed, danced, drank, cooked and talked our asses off for 2 weeks during our journey of the north and south island. I feel like I had known these people for ages. I hope they are all doing well.
Ug, I need to plan a trip out of the country!

My Aura is Orange! Your Aura is PURPLE!!
Current mood: geeky
Orange Aura
Orange's are very creative and ingenius. They are smart as hell! They are active and enjoy life to the fullest. They mainly live in their own worlds, and aren't very sociable. They like to keep to themselves and are most often loners. They are independent and make great private investigators and national leaders. Orange's, unfortunatly, often have depression problems because they worry too much on other world-wide problems that they can't solve.

We Have A Piper Down!!
Current mood: chipper
Yesterday I went to see my friend Julie compete on her bagpipe at the Seaside Highland Games up in Ventura. Although I'm not an authority on bagpiping I thought she was great and she placed 3rd so I think she did pretty darn well. Go Julie!!

Yo Quiero Vomitar
Sometimes I wish I could speak/understand Spanish. Yes, my parents spoke Spanish, fluently in fact. The only problem is that it was only used, when they wanted to convery extreme verbal confrontations to each other. Yeah, hello, therapy! No, I can't blame them. I could have left at any time. I had a Holly Hobby backpack and it could have taken me anywhere I wanted to go!
Anyway, a few nights ago I was flipping around the stations and I came across some bizarre game show. Some guy, in a hot pink troll wig was standing there in some lovely turquoise pleated taffeta pants. There was a girl kneeling in front of him. Her job was to get as many of some item (I didn't figure out what it was - A mouse? A sea monkey?) up one pant leg, over, and down the other pant leg. Why? I don't know, I couldn't understand what they were saying! Later, on the show, (yes, I kept watching) there was a big bin of tangled, white plastic hangers. Two contestants had to put as many of whatever clothes were in this other bin and hang them up. After they stopped doing that they had to put on as many of the items on as possible. Oh, men in bras! What a hoot! After that point I had to change the channel. It was way too eXtreme!

Embracing my inner band geek
I have reached out and embraced my inner band geek! A few weeks ago at the Seaside Scottish Highland Games in Ventura after a couple of Guinness and a shot of single malt Scotch I decided to join a pipe and drum band. I just had my second lesson last night (I'll be playing the bass drum!) and I'm loving it. Let's see how it goes!
