Bean & Cheese #8

I took a bit of a break, mostly because the weather was a bit hot for bean and cheese burritos. On Tuesday, October 15th I stopped by a local eatery called Peacha's in Burbank on Victory Blvd near Alameda. I hadn't seen this place before because the outside sign is rather light in color and the font kind of makes it hard to read. I did notice the smaller sign saying that they had burritos so I decided to give it a try.
Upon entering I noticed it's a rock and roll theme and in looking at the menu a few items are named with that in mind. For instance, the Angus Young burger. The place had a good mom and pop rock and roll feel to it. There is plenty of tables to sit at even though you can't tell from outside.
I ordered a bean and cheese burrito and she asked me if I wanted black or pinto. I said pinto and it came to $4.35. She went ahead on assembling my burrito and I got my order a few minutes later. I said thank you and left.
The burrito itself is huge! There were a good amount of crunchy chips inside and 2 salsas. One, a pico de gallo style, the other a somewhat spicy blended red sauce.
The beans were whole pinto beans and there was a fair amount of cheese but not the bits of unmelted cheese which I enjoy. The beans were a bit salty, almost like a they used cans of Sun Vista brand pinto beans, which I have used before. The tortilla had a good chewy texture and even though the burrito was huge, it didn't fall apart when I ate it. I used the red sauce throughout and that was a really good sauce. The pico de gallo sauce was good but I thought that it fits more of a breakfast burrito.
I had eaten almost all of the chips before I remembered to take a photo. They were really good.
